Elevate Your Planning: Learn from Denver's Unique Landscape
Known as the Mile-High City, due to its one-mile elevation above sea level, Denver brings some unique challenges for city planners. The higher altitude means more sunshine and reduced oxygen, leading to solutions designed to balance sustainability, health, and livability.
Planners interested in integrating nature with urban life can learn from this city. You'll notice easy access to outdoor activities right in the heart of downtown, like hiking trails, biking paths, and recreation areas. The city also boasts more than 20,000 acres of parks and open space.
