The city's municipal code sets certain bulk restrictions in commercial districts to protect solar access to existing solar energy systems. These restrictions apply on buildings in C-1 and C-2 districts when a commercial structure with an existing solar energy device or passive solar design feature lies to the north (§165.42.7.f, §165.43.6.f).
