This functional plan lists installation of renewable energy technologies on both municipal and private buildings as an important strategy in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This Sustainability Action Plan lists installation of PV systems on municipal buildings and local schools as a proposed municipal measure (§3.3.3.2), as well as converting an existing municipal property into a Demonstration House with solar PV and hot water systems (§3.3.3.4). It also lists installation of residential (§3.3.4.1) and commercial (3.3.4.2) PV systems and residential solar hot water system installation (3.3.4.4) as potential other measures.
