Solar Energy

The city's municipal code includes standards and policies that promote solar design. It highlights "personal solar energy generators" in use-specific development standards; these standards include minimum lot size, maximum height, number of generators allowed, and setback and location (§6.27). It allows conditional use of "solar energy generation farms" in several zoning districts (Table 4-6). The municipal code identifies "personal solar and wind energy generators" as accessory agricultural and residential structures (§6.2.1, §6.7.1).
