Form-Based ZOning

The township’s zoning code includes a mapped mandatory form-based district (§185-119 et seq.). This district includes the permissible land uses, form standards, building frontage types, façade design standards, parking standards, and landscaping standards.

Solar Energy

The township’s zoning code permits accessory rooftop solar panels in all zoning districts by right and grants a limited exemption from height and setback requirements (§185-125.D.1).

The township permits accessory ground-mounted solar installations in all but one zoning district by right, subject to setback, height, and impervious coverage limits and a prohibition on glare (§185-125.D.2).

Development standards for solar energy systems address tree protection (§185-125.G) and system abandoment (§185-125.L).
