Solar Energy

The town's land development code defines solar access (Sec. 108-2.3). In Planned Village Center Developments, green building and site design techniques, including solar panels on roofs and parking areas, should be incorporated in the development plan (Sec. 108-6.7.J.16.a.11).

According to the code's site design standards, buildings should be located with proper consideration of orientation and relationship to other buildings in terms of several factors, including solar access and energy conservation (Sec. 108-12.3.B.1).
