Solar Energy

The town's subdivision regulations require a solar orientation report as part of documentation for all subdivision applications (Sec. 5.2.1). Solar orientation is included in the design and construction standards; streets shall be designed so that at least 80% of buildings can have defined solar orientation, and the ordinance lists solar design principles for street layout, land use and densities, and lot layout and orientation (Sec. 6.9).
