Solar Energy

The General Plan's Conservation and Open Space element includes a number of goals and policies relating to Air Quality, Climate Change, Energy Conservation, and Green Building Practices. These include a policy of encouraging increased use of passive and active solar design in existing and new development (Policy 9.5) and designs that incorporate solar exposure features (Policy 10.3).
