Solar Energy

Since the adoption of this comprehensive plan, the town has implemented most of the policies and goals stated in the plan. The plan's Community Design element includes several solar energy goals, including pursuing opportunities to become a leader in solar design, updating code and regulations to exceed the Model Energy Code, and providing incentives for passive and active solar design (Sec. V Policies 28 and 29). It also recommends developing a brochure on solar energy to be displayed in the planning department and distrubuted with building permit applications (Sec. V Policy 30; Sec. VII).
