This Renewable Energy Ordinance Framework for solar energy was developed by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission's Alternative Energy Ordinance Working Group to provide a framework for local governments to create a customized solar energy ordinance that addresses small-scale accessory systems.
The framework sections include intent/background, definitions, applicability, and general regulations, including height and setbacks for roof- and ground-mounted systems, aesthetics and screening, glare, solar access, first responder safety, and compliance with other regulations.
