Solar Energy

The Conservation and Open Space Element of the city's general plan includes an energy conservation goal (Goal COS-6) and several policies relating to solar, including requiring the use of energy conservation measures such as solar technologies (Policy COS-P6.1), and encouraging developers to incorporate solar energy systems and solar orientation into building design and construction (Policy COS-P6.6).
