The city’s zoning code permits internal, attached, and detached accessory dwelling units (ADUs) by right in all zoning districts that permit single-family residences, subject to use-specific standards (§25-174 et. seq.). These standards address units per lot, building permits, setbacks, subdivision and sale, unit size, parking, short-term rental, conformance with density regulations, structural requirements, and multifamily sized lots.
