The town’s land development code includes bicycle storage requirements in their larger Green Standards code, which follows the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system (§3-71). In practice, the standard requirements for bicycle storage, and provisions to swap for parking, are similar to other codes. The difference is that it is part of a larger, coordinated effort to reduce emissions, and lessen environmental impacts.
