Design Review

This guide was written to help smaller communities in the Blackstone Valley of Massachusetts and Rhode Island establish design review processes to preserve historic community character in the face of rapid growth. The guide introduces the concept of design review and offers a five-step "101" primer on developing a local regulations: committee formation, design review administration, design review criteria,  community-based guideline development, and implementation.
