Design Review

This ordinance sets design review standards to preserve and promote good quality design within the county. It begins with detailed statements of purpose and intent, offers definitions, and lists which projects require design review of a development plan. The ordinance lists application requirements as well as the steps of the approval process. It lists minimum design standards that address site design, building characteristics, and buffers and screening. The ordinance also covers appeals and variances and requires a performance guarantee if work on a project is stopped. An approved plant list is included as an appendix.
