These detailed design guidelines for Cedar Falls’ downtown district were developed by the city's Community Main Street Design Committee and apply to all new buildings, structures, and physical site improvements within the Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District except single-family homes and multifamily residential projects with six or fewer units. The guide is clearly illustrated with line drawings and addresses architectural elements, signage, and landscaping, and includes a glossary. It describes design review procedures.
