The document starts by laying out purpose statements for the design guidelines for different planning areas and districts within the city, and then is organized into sections on pedestrian-oriented element; public improvements and site features; parking lot location and design; scale; building material, color, and detail; and natural features. General guidelines are provided, as well as special considerations for the city's different planning areas and districts.
