Design Review

These design guidelines apply to commercial, municipal, institutional, or multifamily structures in the town's business and downtown neighborhood districts in a design review process that works in conjunction with site plan approval. The guide lays out the design review process and lists required submittal materials. The design guidelines address building placement and orientation, setbacks and buffer areas, open space, pedestrian accommodations, parking, building massing, historical features, materials, façade, storefronts, windows and doors, roofs, landscaping, lighting, and utilities and mechanical equipment. For each section, photos show "encouraged" and "discouraged" examples.
