Design Review

These design guidelines apply to new construction as well as exterior renovation of existing buildings within the Downtown Design Review Overlay District. They address three Downtown Character Areas: the Traditional Core Area, the Perimeter Commercial Area, and the Residential Conversion Area. The guidelines state goals for each area, and provide general design guidelines for all projects, as well as additional guidelines for each character area. The guide also includes a glossary, as well as four illustrated "redevelopment prototypes" that illustrate the guidelines.
