Design Review

These design guidelines were developed to assist in implementation of the town’s 2007 comprehensive plan as a supplement to zoning regulations. They address a variety of concerns raised by residents in the planning process about aesthetic quality of the built environment. The guidelines apply to residential subdivisions of 10 or more lots and every residential and nonresidential development that requires site plan approval. Guidelines are provided for single-family residential uses, multifamily residential uses, commercial uses, and hamlet areas and open space. They are illustrated with diagrams and photographs.
