Small Wireless Facilities and Wireless Facilities in the ROW

The city's Telecommunications chapter addresses the placement of wireless communications facilities on certain public properties and street rights-of-way within the city (§34-161 et seq.). The ordinance classifies WCFs into three categories; DAS installations on utility or other poles are considered "Type 2" WCFs. The code provides design standards for poles, antennas, and equipment (§34-165), as well as detailed permit application requirements (§34-167, §34-168) and removal provisions (§34-171).
