The city’s transitional zoning code contains policies to address the impacts of climate change. Eligible strategies include offering additional bicycle amenities, providing transit amenities, and installing photocatalytic tiles to improve air quality.

Green Stormwater Infrastructure

The city’s municipal code provides low-impact development (LID) standards for all new development and select redevelopment projects. It outlines requirements based on the size and zoning of the development (§18.74.030), describes the process of LID plan review (§18.74.040), and touches on the costs of plan examination and permitting fees (§18.74.050). The municipal code references the city’s Low Impact Development (LID) Best Management Practices (BMP) Design Manual (§18.74.060) and allows exceptions to the regulation if there is determined hardship (§18.74.070).

Shared Mobility

The city’s vehicle and traffic code establishes a shared micromobility device program to facilitate the use of shared mobility within the jurisdiction (§10.71). It presents the shared micromobility permit application fees and process, the device requirements, and the selection process for service operators.

Small Wireless Facilities and Wireless Facilities in the ROW

The city's zoning code establishes standards for wireless facilities in the public right-of-way (§21.56).
