Small Wireless Facilities and Wireless Facilities in the ROW

The city code's Telecommunications chapter addresses the placement or maintenance of communications facilities in public rights-of-way in an ordinance updated in 2015 (§104-6). The ordinance describes an extensive application and review process, as well as detailed design and location standards to minimize impacts on residential uses, for new telecommunications towers in public rights-of-way, though it expresses preference for installations on private- or government-owned property outside the rights-of-way.
