Small Wireless Facilities and Wireless Facilities in the ROW
The city's land development code addresses the placement and maintenance of facilities for communications services in rights-of-way in a streets and sidewalks chapter. The ordinance defines "distributed antenna system" and the definition for "wireless communications facility" states that such facilities within a right-of-way may be DAS (§23.76). The code provides registration requirements (§23.77) as well as permitting and design and location requirements (§23.78) for placement of wireless facilities within the public right-of-way. Public right-of-way installations require registrants to provide construction bonds (§23-86) as well as security funds (§23-87).
Tiny Houses and Micro-Apartments
The city's land development code permits tiny homes on foundations as accessory dwelling units in all residential districts (§402). Tiny homes must comply with minimum floor area requirements (300 ft2) (Table 402-04) and use-specific standards for accessory dwelling units (§405.1).
It defines "tiny house/home" as a residential structure under 600 ft2 (§201).
