This standalone policy offers a statement of support for community gardening. It defines community gardens as one of three types (commons garden, allotment garden, and community orchard), describes how the city will support community gardens, lists appropriate garden site features and offers a land inventory for site identification, lists criteria and process requirements for the establishment of gardens on city-owned land, and supports the establishment of gardens on private land.
