Agritourism | Food Systems

The city’s zoning code addresses agritourism. It provides standards for “agricultural-related activities,” such as petting zoos, dude ranches, and picnicking, to help preserve the nature of agricultural areas (§64-1797). Standards address issues such as minimum lot size, setbacks, parking, noise levels, hours of operation, buffers, and trash.

The code also defines (§64-1) and provides standards for “rural or agricultural event facility” (§64-1842) that address minimum lot size, parking, noise levels, setbacks, maximum attendance, tents, buffers, and design.
