Report a broken linkTransit-Oriented Development
This report reviews the literature on the effects of urban form on transit ridership and proposes a research design to study the effects of transit-oriented development (TOD) on ridership over time. The literature review concludes that urban form does not affect mode choice as much as other factors but that it does contribute somewhat to ridership. The authors propose a longitudinal panel survey research model to track development characteristics and travel behavior over time.
