Transit-Oriented Development

This guide provides policy recommendations for cities and counties in metropolitan Chicago to help them support transit oriented development (TOD) through active transportation and parking investments. Individual sections address transit station access hierarchy, access mode descriptions, strategies to reduce and accommodate parking demand, parking standards, commuter parking guidelines, green parking design strategies, parking financing, and structured and surface parking.
