Scenic View Protection

This report highlights view protection approaches for historic and scenic resources in urban areas. The introduction links common approaches in regulation in US cities, such case by case decision-making and the use of overlays. It includes seven case studies, which feature objectives, approach, summary, and comments with recommendations for further protection. Approaches for viewshed protection include zoning overlays, height restrictions and site design standards.
