Scenic View Protection

This guide includes provisions to protect Mulholland Scenic Parkway by encouraging environmentally and aesthetically sensitive development to reduce adverse impact on the scenic parkway. Guidelines for site planning include objectives that preserve and enhance the natural environmental and scenic conditions, such as maintaining natural topography, requiring a viewshed analysis for any project visible from the road, and limiting access along the right of way. Additional components provide visually-sensitive strategies for architectural elements, landscaping and utility related structures.
