Scenic View Protection

This functional plan summarizes ordinances and other regulatory measures that aim to protect scenic views along the Niles Canyon and Paloma Way portion of State Route 84. It summarizes ordinances and other regulatory measures of three jurisdictions to protect scenic views. These actions include prohibiting offsite outdoor advertisements, specifying methods of earthmoving and landscaping, and design and appearance requirements for structures and equipment. Additionally, it connects regional approaches with general plan policies at the county level to protect scenic views.
