Scenic View Protection

The town’s land use code protects identified scenic views through design standards that reduce impacts on scenic quality. Identified approaches for view protection include site design, height limits, clustering development, and maintaining open space (§13.6). Additional design standards encourage reducing visual impact for developments near ridgelines, hillsides, and shorelines (§13.7 et seq.)
