Downtown Revitalization

This downtown plan details a comprehensive strategy that builds off of previous, successful downtown revitalization efforts. Its policy recommendations are organized under six topics: Urban Design, Transportation and Parking, Market and Economy, Arts and Culture, Energy and the Environment, and Management and Maintenance.

Green Building

This subarea plan includes a policy to encourage green building principles in all new and existing buildings in a downtown area. It highlights four actions to support this policy: incentivize projects to exceed minimum code requirements, finance new development or redevelopment projects, encourage the use of the City’s Integrated Design Assistance Program, and promote the use of sustainable construction materials (EE 2d.1-4).
