Green Building

The city’s downtown code includes a Bonus Height Program that identifies Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and LEED-Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND) as eligible certifications for height bonuses. The program allocates bonuses based on LEED certification levels (Silver, Gold, and Platinum) (17.37). 

Form-Based Zoning

The city’s zoning code is a mapped mandatory form-based code. The regulating plan includes fifteen sub-districts with different permissible form standards, building frontage types, façade design standards, parking standards, and landscaping standards. It includes four sub-areas with different permissible land uses.
