This report explores the siting of solar systems with natural vegetation to reduce environmental impacts and environmental mitigation costs. The growth of utility-scale solar requires development on a large amount of underutilized land, which in turn can disrupt local environments. The report analyzes these impacts and discusses the types, examples, and benefits of co-location.
