Wind Energy

The city’s zoning code allows small-scale wind energy conversion systems (WECS) in all districts, subject to use-specific standards (§17.94.020). Standards include height, noise, sign, wind access/setback, design, and maintenance (§17.94.020). Setbacks are based on number of rotor diameters from property and utility lines.
