This guide is meant to ensure that the design plans of dense, multi-unit residential developments in Toronto, Canada are family-friendly. Guidelines are provided for the neighborhood, building, and unit scale and aim to protect the diversity of housing, enhance livability and quality, and plan from the perspective of a child. The Appendix (p. 50) includes case studies and unit layout examples.
