This subarea plan builds on the Atlanta Regional Commission’s age-friendly initiatives to create a more livable town center in Mableton, Georgia. It serves as a useful example of how age-friendly principles can be applied in context through transportation, land use, and design interventions. The plan works with current growth patterns to propose strategies for weaving four disjointed areas together to enhance quality of life for residents of all ages.
