Age-Friendly Communities

The city’s zoning code includes provisions on universal design (§15.92). §15.92.020 states that this code was designed to serve residents with disabilities and older adults to facilitate “independent living.” Standards cover primary entrances, interior routes, primary floor bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, miscellaneous areas, and general components.
