The city’s zoning code has visitability standards for single-family and attached single-family homes (§54-33). Standards regulate entrances, wall switches, bathrooms, wall reinforcement, and internal routes.

Urban Heat Resilience

The city’s code of ordinances addresses urban heat. It contains a Tree Conservation Ordinance that states that increased tree canopy can help mitigate urban heat island effects (§22-251).
