This article takes a close look at the impact of the built environment on the mental health of residents in Las Vegas. It reviews literature and uses a snowball sampling method to secure interviews with city health officials, planners, and architects. The article then shares ideas on how the built environment can be adapted to improve mental health, like pocket parks and alternative transportation lanes, and shares four specific recommendations for Las Vegas.
