Built Environment and Health

The Oneida Nation’s comprehensive plan incorporates strategies for improving health into its Health Care, Community Design, Parks and Recreation, Agriculture, and Environmental Protection goals and objectives. A history of health services for American Indians is provided in the Health Care section. This chapter also stresses that health care is deeply connected to all other elements in the plan.
