The county’s zoning code requires proposals to be submitted to the County Health Department for a health impact assessment (§27-519). This process aims to identify health equity issues and to suggest health-positive design standards.

Shared Mobility

The county’s zoning code authorizes reductions in minimum off-street parking requirements for development proposals that include dedicated parking space for car-sharing vehicles.

It authorizes the planning director to reduce parking requirements for residential and mixed residential and nonresidential projects by up to five spaces per car-share vehicle (§27A-705(C)). And it authorizes up to a 20 percent reduction of required parking spaces for development proposals within rail stations that include car-share spaces (§27-548.09.02).
