This article includes a study on the relationship between Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification and lighting and acoustic quality in the workplace. It surveys occupants of LEED-certified buildings on their perception of lighting and acoustic qualities. The article recommends the LEED certification system place greater consideration and value on these qualities to promote more productive and comfortable work environments.
