Green Building

This article analyzes the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND) certification system’s role in supporting local sustainable development. It discusses the strengths and limitations in applying LEED standards to promote such development. The article presents results from a study identifying which criteria are satisfied most often by projects of various certification levels.
