Green Building

The city’s comprehensive plan commits to establishing a green building incentive program and includes a permit fee reduction for projects with green building features. Objective H13 lists the intent, policies, and implementation process of a green building incentive program. Developments that satisfy the requirements of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification system are eligible for partial refund of permitting fees (C16.7). The comprehensive plan also encourages the City and School District to take advantage of on-site environmental education and demonstration opportunities (PS5.1).
