Green Building

This standalone policy requires all public new development be green building certified. It mandates that all new buildings over 10,000 square feet attain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification, Green Globes 3 certification, or full Living Building Challenge certification. The standalone policy states that if none of these certifications can be attained the project must at a minimum meet the Design for High Performance building standards outlined by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
