Green Building

The city’s code of ordinances describes a green building program for new development and major renovations. It highlights several incentives, including expedited site plan and permit review, floor area ratio (FAR) density bonuses, and other design features (§14.115). The city’s green building program uses the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification system (§14.114) and requires projects to be certified by the Green Building Certification Institute (§14.116).
