This report tracks neighborhood change caused by the adaptive reuse of historic buildings by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). It finds no relationship between a neighborhood’s pace of renovation and proximity to SCAD buildings but suggests there may be a relationship between neighborhood racial change and proximity to SCAD buildings, contributing to the displacement of African American residents.
