Green Stormwater Infrastructure
The city’s comprehensive plan outlines several strategies to manage stormwater on-site using low-impact development (LID) tactics in new development and redevelopment projects. It recommends offering incentives to developers using LID tactics during construction (Strategy 2-F), minimizing impervious surface areas in site design (Strategy 2-G), implementing LID tactics in all City-led projects (Strategy 2-H), and promoting LID and green building with an incentive program (Strategy 6-G). The comprehensive plan also includes a goal to restore the water quality of the Four Mile Run river using LID (Strategy 2-I).
Historic Preservation
The city’s comprehensive plan features a historic preservation chapter. It details the history of the community, lists its historic assets, outlines the state and local policy framework, and sets six goals, with related strategies and actions, to improve the local historic preservation program.
